About the Condition
Skin cancers can be classed as:
- Melanomas which present as moles
- Malignant non-Melanomas which include squamous cell carcinomas and basal cell carcinoma (also called rodent ulcers)
Most skin cancers are caused by sun damage i.e. UV light damaging the DNA in skin cells.
