Phil Bates – Hospital Director

Phil has been Hospital Director at Cancer Centre London since April 2019 and has also been leading nearby Parkside Hospital since 2017. Phil has been with the Aspen Healthcare Group since 2012 and spent five years as Hospital Director at the Group’s East London facility, The Holly Private Hospital.

Phil has an extensive career in healthcare, spanning over 10 years shaping and growing community private hospitals. Prior to joining Aspen, Phil worked for Ramsay Healthcare as General Manager.

Liz Dowling – Director of Nursing and Clinical Services

Liz has been at Aspen Healthcare for over 20 years, having joined in the Group in 2000. As Director of Nursing and Clinical Services, Liz oversees the running of the Hospital to ensure the highest standards of clinical care. She is committed to improving patient outcomes and safety and is a role model and mentor to staff across CCL and Parkside, providing advice and support to promote good practice.

Keisha Robinson – Head of Radiotherapy and Quality

Keisha has been at CCL since 2005. She provides guidance, oversight and support for the continuing development of high-quality radiotherapy services for cancer patients attending CCL. She also has accountability for the nuclear medicine service and leads Quality Governance at CCL.

She is a Specialist Advisor for the Care Quality Commission where she accompanies representatives on inspections, providing specialist advice.

Isabel Patterson – Lead Oncology Nurse

Isabel has been at Cancer Centre London since 2007 and took on the role of Lead Oncology Nurse in 2016. She is passionate about improving cancer services at CCL in line with local and national objectives and quality initiatives, and committed to improving the experience, clinical outcomes and safety of our patients.

Liz McElligott – Chief Pharmacist

Liz has been a key member of the CCL leadership team since CCL opened in 2003. As Chief Pharmacist, Liz and the Oncology Pharmacy team manage the medical oncology care of our cancer patients, ensuring a safe and personalised service of chemotherapy treatment and effective management of medicines procurement and provision.

Liz is responsible for providing strategic professional leadership, safe electronic prescribing and management of cancer treatment regimens, and successfully delivering a broad range of oncology pharmacy services.

Pinache Khan – Development Director

Pinache has been Development Director at CCL and Parkside since 2018. She has significant experience in both NHS and independent hospital settings and is a solutions-oriented individual committed to strategic healthcare development at CCL and patient safety.

Susan Caratelli – Operations Director

Susan has been Operations Director at CCL since March 2020, joining the organisation in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic. Experienced Operations Director with a demonstrated history of working in the health wellness and fitness industry.

Dr Henry Weatherburn – Head of Physics

Dr Weatherburn is Head of Physics at Cancer Centre London, having previously held positions as Director of Medical Physics at Oxford Radcliffe (now University) Hospitals NHS Trust and Chief Physicist at King Abdulaziz Medical City, Jeddah. He is a graduate of Strathclyde, London and Oxford Universities and Imperial College and an active member of the Institute of Physics and Engineering and Medicine in the UK.
