CQC Report

Who are the CQC?

They are the independent regulator of health and adult social care in England. They make sure health and social care services provide people with safe, effective, compassionate, high-quality care.

Why did they rate us Good?

Following a visit to Cancer Centre London in late 2019, the CQC rated CCL as ‘Good’ in all five of their key assessment criteria – for being caring, well-led, responsive to people’s needs, being safe and effective.

The report is complimentary and a reflection of the work, dedication and care with which staff across the sites treat their patients.

The CQC report states: “Staff cared for the patients with compassion. Feedback from patients confirmed that staff treated them well and with kindness and provided emotional support”.

Phil Bates, Hospital Director at Parkside Private Hospital and Cancer Centre London, said:

“We’re delighted with the Good’ rating and I’m so pleased with the progress that we’ve all made across our facilities and the dedication and hard work of all of our teams. It’s only with our staff’s support that we can continue on our improvement journey. As we build on the progress we have made and use the recommendations provided by the CQC, we will continue to work towards becoming an outstanding hospital. Congratulations and well done to all our staff.”

What happens next?

We are very proud of this result and all the hard work put in by our staff in order to provide first class care to our patients. We will continue to strive for an overall rating of Outstanding.
